IISE members celebrate a growing profession with a global impact

To shed light on the profession, ISE Day was created in 2025 to be held annually on Sept. 14, the Institute’s 1948 founding anniversary. Its mission is to acknowledge and celebrate the professional problem-solvers who keep business, nonprofit and public systems operating effectively. In a world made more complex each day by outside disruptions, advanced technology and human factors challenges, it takes the right people to make the trains run on time – sometimes literally.
