Allowing employees to mix business, leisure has pluses and drawbacks

Advances in personal technology and digital
connectivity have challenged the need for
physical presence in the workplace. While
remote work was once largely associated with
freelancers and entrepreneurs, the COVID-19
pandemic proved that many individuals and teams can
perform effectively while geographically dispersed. Once
tethered to fixed office spaces, knowledge workers now
increasingly operate from diverse locations, enabled by
digital technologies and flexible work arrangements.
