Project management is not risk-free

Controlling risk begins with identifying, then measuring its effects

By James N. Salapatas

Lots of learning occurs from working four decades in the project management world. After being asked to respond to a significant survey from the Project Management Institute organization, when posting my birth, 1934, the survey ended with a quick “thank you” for the information. Sharing knowledge has been my professional quest. Consulting and teaching were a way to share knowledge. Over the years, helping project managers learn about best practices and recognizing some of the pitfalls has been my goal. Project management risk is one of my favorite topics.
