Industrial engineering evolved from the development
of scientific method at the turn of the last century.
Frederick Taylor, Frank Gilbreth, Henry Gantt and
many more to follow augmented and were part of the
Industrial Revolution. Their focus was on engineering
work systems to improve efficiency and productivity and to
improve quality of work life.
