One of the key conditions for achieving operational excellence through the implementation of Lean Six Sigma is to create conditions where each employee is producing only value-added output in the eyes of the customer, who is paying for the employee’s time. This boils down to having each minute of each employee be productive. Productivity is equally important in manufacturing and service processes for the long-term survival and prosperity of organizations.
