Ergonomics kaizen events: Practical and effective strategies for continuous improvement

Small changes yield big results when employees are empowered

Ergonomics is often described as a “war of inches.” It involves small, intentional changes that yield significant improvements in workplace safety, efficiency and employee well-being. Over my 31-year career, I have facilitated more than 365 kaizen events globally. These events have taught me the value of a simple yet powerful guiding principle: Can we make the process better today than it was yesterday?
