Methods improvements in assembly processes
Adding the right fixtures can improve cycle time, quality and ease
By Raj Sanne
As defined in the book “Introduction to Work
Study” published by the International Labor
Organization, “Method study is the systematic
recording and critical examination of ways of
doing things in order to make improvements.” It
is a low-cost approach to improving processes
and overall productivity. This approach was prevalent in the
20th century, which has now been integrated as part of the
Lean Six Sigma philosophy.
