Our massive need for gooey teams

If one traces the roots of my daily and persistent kaizen madness back to the source, they find that total team engagement provides the foundational spark. As a young industrial engineer, the need for higher and more consistent levels of such engagement became evident after only a few hours of time on my first production floor. Many people had cost-effective ideas, but their leaders would not listen. It simply did not make sense.
