Imagine if ... solutions were integrated, systemic
The motivation behind this column results from
knowledge that industrial and systems engineers have
the capability to make the world a more effective,
productive and resilient place. As we look to make a
difference, applying our natural strengths will allow us
to have greater impact. Our experiences in industrial
and systems engineering (education and industry)
have supplied the context in which we can apply these
natural strengths, coupled with our technical and social
abilities, to further strengthen our aptitude as leaders in
engineering. We have the skills to analyze engineering
problems at not only a component level but also at the
component-interaction and systemic levels.
