COVID-19 pandemic added to the island's economic, logistic challenges

Puerto Rico faced numerous challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, including those related to delivering industrial engineering courses in a virtual-remote setting. The island’s fragile infrastructure and economic predicament added significantly to the challenges of establishing a sustainable, high-quality education experience.
