Setting outstanding expectations

A recent podcast centered around setting personal performance standards, coupled with some windshield time, has started some interesting semantic debates in my mind. As often happens, this focus quickly morphed into something just as process and organizational focused as it was personal. What attracted my attention was the notion about the difference in significance between good, great, excellent and outstanding.
