ISE Day is Coming September 15, 2025 | IISE
ISE Day is SEPT. 14, 2026!
The big idea
Industrial and Systems Engineering Day returns on Sept. 14, 2026, to increase awareness of ISE and inspire future generations to pursue careers in ISE.
Why it matters
ISE professionals solve humanity's biggest challenges – from supply chains to healthcare systems to climate solutions. Yet most people have never heard of us. Let's change that now.
What's happening
On Sept. 14, ISE professionals, students, and academics worldwide will simultaneously share their stories, celebrate their impact, and inspire the next generation of problem-solvers.
This is our moment to show the world what we do and why it matters.
Join the movement
We're calling all ISE engineers, innovators, and systems-thinkers to increase awareness of ISE by sharing your stories with the world:
- Share your story – Tell your personal ISE story about why you chose ISE and how it has served you. Share it with your networks using the hashtags #ISEday and #ISEday2026.
- Promote ISE – Post content about ISE and its impact on the world. Videos and resources are available from IISE.
- Reach out to the next generation – Commit to one K-12 outreach activity this year.
- Rally your community – Host or attend an ISE Day celebration at your organization, university, or student chapter.
- Own the narrative – Update wikipedia entries about our field.
- Go bigger – Dream up your own way to celebrate.
Dress in your IISE best
Show your pride with IISE, Society for Health Systems (SHS), or Applied Ergonomics Society (AES) apparel from Lands’ End Outfitters — perfect for the office or campus life.
