The New Industrial and Systems Engineering: Operational Analytics

Performance Measurement was the foundation upon which Industrial Engineering emerged and evolved. How long should things take? How is a process performing?  What are the right standards for work?  Work Measurement. That type of measurement focus has evolved into a much broader domain for ISE’s.  Process Capability, system capability, white collar productivity, Balanced Scorecards, Power BI, Visible Measurement Systems. The importance of Performance Measurement to the ISE contribution cannot be understated. And yet, interestingly, this is not taught in most of our ISE Departments.  So IISE is picking up the baton and carrying it forward as a way of contributing to our members professional development.
