Training Center for industrial and systems engineers continues IACET accreditation
NORCROSS, Georgia – Aug. 2, 2021 – After months of preparing and undergoing a stringent application and review
process of its continuing education programs provided by its worldwide Training Center, the Institute of Industrial
and Systems Engineers (IISE) has once again achieved IACET accreditation status. As of Sept. 1, 2021, the IISE
Training Center officially continues its 15-year accreditation status for another five years through 2026.
First accredited in 2006, IISE is part of a “select community of organizations that share a commitment to rigor,
excellence and integrity in continuing education and training,” according to the International Accreditors for
Continuing Education and Training website.
As emblazoned on its IACET Accredited Provider certificate, IISE “has complied with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which
is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices and is authorized to issue the
IACET CEU.”![IACET Authorized Provider IACET Authorized Provider](/uploadedImages/IIE/News/Press_room/IACET_Logo.jpg)
IACET’s Vanessa Almony sent a message to IISE’s Director of Continuing Education and Program Development James R.
Swisher, PE, PMP, stating: “On behalf of the IACET Accredited Provider Commission, I am pleased to inform you that
Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers has been approved as an IACET Accredited Provider. IACET is the
premier standards-setting organization for continuing education and training. Our strategic mission is to promote
IACET standards as a benchmark for quality program delivery. IACET Accredited Providers are an elite group of
educators dedicated to quality in continuing education and training. Consumers trust the IACET CEU because they know
that the Accredited Providers' processes must follow the ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training
and have been thoroughly assessed by a third party.”
Swisher, who joined the IISE staff in the fall of 2020, says he did not go through the IACET-reaccreditation process
alone. “I am thankful for the advice and assistance from my IISE predecessor, Larry Aft, as well as the rest of the
IISE team.” Aft continues as an instructor with the IISE Training Center and is the president of IISE Solutions.
“It was a team effort to achieve IACET reaccreditation,” says Swisher. “Our policies and processes were thoroughly
reviewed and audited. IISE is proud to continue as an IACET Accredited Provider. This distinction shows our
commitment to offering quality educational programs that meet the latest standards and demonstrate continuous
improvement.
“Our students benefit from our accreditation status with the assurance that their investment in IISE continuing
education has the backing of a ‘universal model for learning process excellence.’”
