The UPS Foundation awards significant grant to the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers
NORCROSS, Ga. – Jan. 6, 2020 – The Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) received a $15,350 grant from The UPS Foundation, which drives global corporate citizenship and philanthropic programs for UPS (NYSE:UPS).
The grant will be used toward the continuation of the IISE Minority and Women Industrial Engineer Outreach Program, which includes the
UPS Minority Advancement Award and scholarships for female and minority industrial engineering students.
The award recognizes organizations or individuals that, through innovative means, have developed programs or projects directed to the advancement of women, minorities or individuals with disabilities in the field of industrial engineering. The scholarships are the UPS
Scholarship for Female Students and the UPS Scholarship for Minority Students.
IISE CEO Don Greene expressed gratitude for the grant on behalf of the industrial and systems engineering profession. “IISE is grateful for the long-standing support of The UPS Foundation. Its generous grant bolsters our mission to better serve ISEs ‘who solve the
