Global industrial and systems engineering conference & expo May 18-21 in Orlando, Florida, offers program depth and variety
NORCROSS, Ga. – April 4, 2019 – The top minds in the industrial and systems engineering (ISE) profession will gather May
18-21 in Orlando, Florida, to share ideas and best practices at the IISE Annual Conference & Expo 2019 at the Rosen
Shingle Creek Hotel.
Now in its 70th year, the foremost educational event of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE)
continues to attract the world's largest gathering of industrial and systems engineers from all sectors, including
professional and academic leaders and students. An informative program and exhibits will introduce attendees to the
latest tools and techniques through workshops, vendor presentations, colloquia, competitions and awards.
Annual Conference Program Co-chair Rob M. Thomas of Intel Corp. confirms that the event's enduring popularity stems from
its variety and mass appeal. "I truly believe that the Annual Conference is an excellent way to invest in yourself
through professional development, networking, and the sharing of inspirational ideas. There's always something for
everyone including academicians, practitioners, young professionals and students," he says.
"With yet another strong lineup of keynotes, contributed sessions and the 'new-for-this-year' invited track sessions,"
Thomas notes, "we expect to continue the long legacy of hosting the premier conference for ISE. You will walk away
better positioned to contribute to your organization, with a broader understanding of major trends in the field of ISE,
and with friendships that will last a lifetime."
The keynote speakers are U.S. Air Force Inspector General Lt. Gen. Stayce D. Harris; Pascal Van Hentenryck, the A.
Russell Chandler III chair and professor in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at
Georgia Tech; and Sylvia Acevedo, CEO of the Girl Scouts of the USA.
Pre-conference workshops requiring separate registration begin May 18. The program includes a new faculty and doctoral
colloquium, an executive roundtable, and an honors and awards dinner, ceremony and dessert reception. Attendees can
meet and greet colleagues at various networking events throughout the conference.
