IISE  U.S. Western Region

Welcome to the U.S. Western Region website

IISE's U.S. Western Region currently has approximately 2,500 active IISE members who reside in the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Roughly 1,900 are local professional or student chapter members, with 600 members in the region that do not belong to a local chapter.

Chapter Management

Responsibilities of Region Leaders

The major responsibility of the region leaders is to support the professional and student chapters. They also have responsibility to keep IISE headquarters, in particular the CN (chapter networking) staff, and the senior vice president (SVP) of CN up-to-date with chapter activities.

  Sean Genovese

Senior Industrial Engineer, Lockheed Martin Skunk Works®, Palmdale, California (2017-present)

• Team leader responsible for coaching & developing team members as well as recruiting, screening and hiring candidates.
• Industrial engineering leader for X-59 NASA demonstrator aircraft. Responsible for providing schedules, analysis, and process improvements that support the program lifecycle from design to first flight.
• Provide technical support to special access programs to improve, standardize and document processes 
Alyssa Emerson recently obtained her B.S. in industrial engineering (2019) from Cal Poly Pomona where as an undergraduate, she was heavily involved with her department and college. She served as the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) chapter president from 2016-2017, the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) president from 2017-2018 and as program manager for the Northrop Grumman Collaboration Project (2018-2019). She currently works as an industrial engineer at the Lockheed Martin Corporation in Palmdale, California.
