What You Will Learn
At the conclusion of the program, you will be able to:

- Define a supply chain and differentiate between key supply chain activities.
- Describe significant supply chain planning tools including demand forecasting, production planning, and sales and operations.
- Develop relevant strategies in production, inventory, location, transportation, information, and material handling systems.
- Design supply chain fulfillment strategies.
- Demand Forecasting
- Define demand forecasting and describe its characteristics, inputs, and outputs.
- Describe forecasting error and define and compute key forecasting error measurements.
- Develop and assess a forecast using time series models.
- Develop and assess a forecast using causal models.
- Inventory Systems
- Define inventory and inventory management and their importance to successful supply chain management.
- Utilize economic order quantity (EOQ) and economic production quantity (EPQ) when demand is deterministic.
- Utilize safety stock, newsvendor, lot-size reorder point, and service level systems when demand is uncertain.
- Develop supply chain management policies utilizing periodic review, multi-product, multi-echelon, and risk pooling systems.
