IISE TRANSACTIONS SERVICE AWARD

Recognizes and rewards the quality work and dedication of department editors and associate editors at IISE Transactions.

The editor-in-chief (EIC) and the four focused issue editors (FIEs) serve as the selection committee. For this reason, the EIC and the FIEs are ineligible for this service award. The EIC and FIEs will select the award nominees by March 1 each year based on performance in the prior calendar year.

The service award will be conferred annually to no more than one individual per focused issue.

Eligibility

• An individual is eligible for consideration of this award after he/she has served for at least 12 months on the IISE Transactions editorial board.
• Any individual who was honored with the service award will be eligible again for the same award after a gap year. There is no limit on the total number of times that an individual can be recognized with this service award.

Criteria

• The performance criteria used in selection includes the amount of workload in the past 12 months, and the quality and timeliness of paper review handling during the same period. Review quality will be based on thoroughness, insightfulness and constructiveness leading to more complete, impactful and better written manuscripts.
• Each awardee is recognized with a certificate or plaque and the Institute may provide partial support to attend the Annual Conference.
• The awardees selected will be announced annually at IISE Annual Conference.
