To find out more about ABET and why ABET accreditation is important go here.

There are many factors to consider when choosing a college program. One of the most important is whether that program is accredited. Accreditation assures that a program has met certain quality standards. To employers, graduate schools and licensure and certification boards, graduation from an accredited program signifies adequate preparation for entry into the profession. In fact, most of these groups require graduation from an accredited program as a minimum qualification. Accreditation helps many people make important decisions about education:

  • Students choosing an educational program
  • Parents seeking assurance of a quality education
  • Institutions seeking to improve the education provided by their programs
  • Employers recruiting well-prepared graduates
