About the Division

Mission Statement

The mission of Energy Systems Division is to support its members by fostering networks, offering programs, and maintaining resources that represent their core competencies and/or areas of specialized practice.

Vision

The vision of Energy Systems Division is to become the premier division for researchers and practitioners who are committed to advancing excellence in innovative modeling and exploring the use of the tools from industrial and systems engineering for energy systems.

Leadership

The Energy Systems (ES) leadership consists of a President, President-Elect, Past-President, and 5 Directors. The directors serve a 2 year term. The President serves a three-year term. 1 year as President-Elect, 1 year as President, and 1 years as Past-President. 2 Student Leader Board members may be appointed to the board for 1 -2 year terms.

Competitions and Awards

The Energy Systems Division has 5 competitions and awards. The Best Student Paper Competition, the Best Track Paper Competition, The IISE ESD, QCRE, and PG&E Energy Analytics Challenge, the Career Achievement Award, and the Outstanding Young Investigator Award.
