IISE Manufacturing and Design (M&D) division outstanding Service award

This award recognizes Manufacturing and Design (M&D) division members who have demonstrated leadership and made significant contributions to public and community matters related to the manufacturing engineering profession (academia or/and industry) and have been active in the IISE M&D community.

Eligibility requirements

  • Member of IISE and the M&D division.

Application process

  • Candidates can be nominated by others. Self-nominations are not allowed.
  • Nominations are due by Feb. 15, 2019, at 5 p.m. eastern time.
  • Email nomination package (single PDF file) to Lourdes Medina.

Nomination package must include

  • Name
  • Affiliation
  • Contact information
  • Candidate’s personal statement describing their service to the industrial engineering profession, leadership roles in the field, and contributions to public and community matters related to the manufacturing engineering profession. (max. 2 pages)
  • Curriculum vita (max. 10 pages)
  • Three letters of recommendation (each limited to 2 pages). This includes the nominator’s letter highlighting candidate’s professional and/or industrial services and achievements
  • Nominator’s contact information

An award committee chaired by an appointed member of the M&D board will review all applications following the division's award evaluation procedures.

Recognition process

  • Framed certificate provided by IISE
  • Recognition at the Annual Conference:
    • at the M&D Town Hall Meeting
    • in Honors and Awards program
    • before the final day keynote address
  • Recognition in ISE magazine
