Thank you for your interest in AES webinars. These free one-hour presentations by knowledgeable professionals and experienced volunteers provide deeper insight into topics and issues involving industrial engineers, human factors/ergonomics professionals, healthcare providers and related professions.

Most ergonomics programs focus on the analytical processes needed to conduct job evaluations, implement solutions, and prioritize and find budgets to fund ergo projects. What most people are not taught are the hidden strategies that make these initiatives move more smoothly.

Emerging Technologies in Ergonomics: Are You Ready?

Aug. 12, 2 p.m. EDT
Presenter: Kent Hatcher

Industrial work environments vary; from repetitive assembly environments, to non-standard field services, to distribution centers. As our work environments vary, so too do the ergonomic assessment tools, equipment and processes being utilized. In some organizations, ergonomics is still managed using paper-based job assessment forms, education and training are conducted in-person, and no structured process or tracking of metrics are in place. However, digital transformations and new technologies are changing how we work (and the impact we can have) as practitioners.

This 30-minute session will provide insight and information on the emerging technologies that are enabling us to work faster, smarter, and with more fidelity.
