The stylish guest rooms and suites are designed with a boutique feel and include a 49-inch LCD TV, a generous work desk, coffee station, and a 1960’s replica mini-fridge. 


A dedicated website is now available for attendees to book their hotel rooms online. A limited number of rooms are available at the conference rate of $169 for a single or double plus applicable state and local taxes. These taxes are currently 8% sales tax and 8% room tax, plus an additional $5.00 per night flat State Hotel-Motel Fee. You can also contact Hilton Central Reservations at 855-243-1342 and refer to IISE | ELSS 2018. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. The hotel will not hold any reservations unless they are secured by one of the above methods.

Attendees booking through the conference room block will receive complimentary wireless guest room internet; a $9.95 per day savings.

The cutoff date to book reservations is Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, or when the room block is full. Quoted sleeping room rates will be offered, based on availability, three days before and three days after the conference dates.

Reservations cancelled within (72) hours of arrival will be charged one night’s room & tax, including no-shows. Guest departing late may incur an additional night rate and tax. Guests need to check with the Front Desk on available for late checkout.

By Marta - The American Hotel a DoubleTree by Hilton is in downtown Atlanta at 160 Ted Turner Drive/Spring Street near the Peachtree Center MARTA Station. 

  • Take a red or gold line train to the Peachtree Center station. If traveling from the airport, board any northbound train.
  • At the station, follow the signs to the John Portman exit.
  • Go through the fare gates and follow signs to Peachtree Street West.
  • At street level, turn right on Peachtree Street.
  • The first stoplight is Andrew Young International Blvd. (Hard Rock Cafe on the corner).
  • Turn right on Andrew Young International and walk about one block to reach the hotel, which is near a small park.

By Shuttle Service – Shared-Ride Van Service provides transportation services to and from the Atlanta central business district: Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead. Shuttles leave every 15 minutes from the Airport from stalls 3 through 10; minimum trip to downtown is $16.50/person each way.

By Taxi – Flat Rate $39 to / from airport to downtown.

Hotel Parking:  The American Hotel has extended a discounted parking to IISE|ELSS attendees. Overnight parking is valet only for $27 per day. Day parking is valet only for $15 per visit for up to eight (8) hours

International Travelers:

A United States visitors (B-1) visa allows a foreign citizen to travel to a port of entry and request admission into the United States from a U.S. immigration inspector. Begin your visa application process as early as possible as it could take several months to process.

U.S. Citizens - Air Travel 
All U.S. citizens including children must present a passport or other approved travel document when entering the United States by air. U.S. citizens can present a passport, NEXUS card at airports with NEXUS kiosks, U.S. military ID with travel orders, or a U.S. Merchant Mariner Document when on official business.

U.S. Citizens - Land/Sea Travel 
U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry are required to have documents that comply with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI), most commonly a U.S. passport, a passport card, a trusted traveler card such as NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST, or an enhanced driver's license.
