Inside IISE Journals

This month we highlight two articles from IISE Transactions. The first investigates how to send as many items as possible between two given points in a network, which is limited by the capacities on its arcs and information flow. The second article studies process flexibility (e.g., the ability to build different types of products simultaneously in the same plant) by coordinating both flexible production and its inventory system and by developing the best inventory policy in terms of fully leveraging process flexibility to minimize overall operational costs. These articles will appear in the June 2018 issue (Volume 50, No. 6).
