Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) occur in many professions, from manufacturing to healthcare and beyond. Even when the load borne by one performing the job may seem light, the discerning occupational health and safety professional can find the hidden risks.
Such is the case for band musicians who face unseen WMSD exposures, whether they play a tuba or a flute.
