Proving our performance excellence
For more than 20 years, I have watched
leaders miss out on the power and potential
of both the Malcolm Baldrige and
Shingo performance excellence awards,
often because the criteria and/or application
process overwhelmed them.
The irony of this amazes me. One cannot
receive either award unless they are
a learning organization, but some avoid
these programs because they intimidate
intellectually.
