The last time IISE gathered in person for the annual Healthcare Systems Process
Improvement Conference was February 2020 in Savannah, Georgia, one of my
favorite towns. At the time, COVID-19 – then it was just called “coronavirus”
– was a dark cloud looming on the horizon that soon made its presence felt
worldwide.
