Finding new thresholds to achieve

I view the concept and application of
process capability a bit different from
many of my quality practice colleagues.
To me, process capability is more than
plugging process parameters into formulas
that compare specification limits
to process limits. I see process capability
as a means of learning more about what
we might be able to achieve. My perspective
is also slanted toward personal capability
versus work process capability. As
I have learned, however, personal excellence
drives process and organizational
excellence.
