Amazon advertises its “raise-the-bar” approach to hiring new team members. This means new hires need to be better than the median team member for a particular responsibility. Trained interviewers look for three attributes when interviewing prospects. First, they should be resourceful and look beyond their own team or training to accomplish the task efficiently and effectively. Amazon encourages innovation and high standards.
