In Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking- Glass, Alice has a confusing discussion with The White Knight regarding what a particular song is, what it is called, and what it is named. The song is "A-sitting on a Gate," which is called "Ways and Means," has the name "The Aged Aged Man" but the name is called "Haddock's Eyes."
