IISE Individual Chapters are recognized through various awards for their activities, service to members and contributions to the Institute.

The Chapter Recognition Program provides visibility so that chapters' accomplishments can be recognized and rewarded. The Chapter Performance and Progress Report is the basis for the Professional and University Chapter Recognition Program. The reason for measurement is to recognize those chapters that are accomplishing the mission and goals of IISE, and it can provide a simple mechanism for chapters to monitor their activity and determine what is making a difference.

Chapter excellence is judged by a number of factors, including but not limited to quality of programs, membership growth and retention, participation in volunteer leadership development, student chapter support, and strategic planning.

Note: A chapter in red status when the report is due (on March 15) is ineligible for any awards.
