Dr. Hamed K. Eldin Outstanding Early Career IE in Academia Award
Recognizes individuals in academia who have demonstrated outstanding characteristics in education, leadership, professionalism and potential in industrial engineering. The award recognizes engineering contributions in application, design, research or development of IE methods by early career IISE members. This award is sponsored by Hamid R. Parsaei.
Eligibility
IISE members within six years of their first full-time academic appointment after earning a doctorate degree and within 10 years of their doctoral degree granting date on the Dec. 1 nomination deadline. IISE members serving at the Director level or above, or on the IISE Board of Trustees and Honors Steering Committee are ineligible while serving.
Criteria
- Not more than one award is issued per year.
- Candidates will be evaluated on:
- Research and scholarship: new techniques, innovative designs, new research or patents.
- Educational contributions: curriculum innovation, course instruction and the development and training of students.
- Service to the industrial engineering profession.
Nomination process
- Complete and return the nomination form.
- Three letters of recommendation should be limited to a maximum of two pages each.
- The nomination form, the nominator's letter and CV package should be limited to 12 pages.
- The entire nomination packet should be no more than 18 pages total.

This award is judged by CIEADH.
