The Sustainable Development Division would like to recognize successful improvement projects conducted with a not-for-profit (government agency, nonprofit or benefit organization, or non-government organization (NGO), that supports at least one of the
17 UN sustainable development goals and utilizes techniques and tools related to industrial and systems engineering, including Lean and Six Sigma. The winner will be presented at the IISE Annual Conference & Expo in May 2024.
Nominations would be submitted by the not-for-profit organization or project leader (IISE member) involved in the project.
The nomination package must consist of the following:
- Letter of support and validation of project from the not-for-profit organization
- Project report or presentation, highlighting the following:
- Problem statement
- Baseline data
- Evaluation and analysis
- Improvements implemented
- Results and how they align to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
