IISE Construction Division best Student Paper Competition

The IISE Construction Division is holding its annual Best Student Paper Competition. Papers should demonstrate or describe the use of construction techniques, such as lean methods, quality management, sustainable construction, simulation, optimization, automation, or alternative materials. The first place winner will present their student paper at the Construction Town Hall meeting at the IISE Annual Conference & Expo, May 22-25, 2021, ALL VIRTUAL. The winner's conference registration will be covered by the Construction Division.

Eligibility requirements

  • Open to both undergraduate and graduate students and design teams.
  • Open only to students attending universities in the United States.
  • Must be a member of IISE or must agree to become members before the award is made.
  • Papers must be no more than 6 pages in length and follow the competition guidelines.
  • No more than two student co-authors per paper.
  • Papers co-authored by professors are excluded from the competition, but your professor's assistance is welcome.
  • The first place winner must agree to attend to the IISE Annual Conference & Expo on May 22-25, 2021, ALL VIRTUAL, to present the winning paper.
  • Award will be presented at the IISE Annual Conference & Expo.

Paper submission deadline: Feb. 10, 2021

Winner will be notified by: March 15, 2021
