Students: Stay, Play, and Save at IISE Annual 2026

Conference travel is expensive, so UTA's Industrial, Manufacturing and Systems Engineering (IMSE) Department — our host university — is rolling out the red carpet for students attending the IISE Annual Conference & Expo 2026.

This package makes it significantly more affordable to attend one of the premier events in industrial and systems engineering — and adds some serious fun on top.

Low-Cost Housing at Kalpana Chawla KC Hall

Skip the hotel price tag. UTA is offering on-campus housing at Kalpana Chawla KC Hall — a residential living community named after the first female Indian astronaut — for just $300 total (Saturday, May 16 – Tuesday, May 19). Free parking on campus means you can save on airfare and enjoy the flexibility of driving.

UTA Open House Networking Event

Kick things off with food, drinks, and connections at UTA's Open House. Meet fellow students and professionals while checking out cutting-edge technological demonstrations on campus.

Saturday Student Activity — May 16

Before the conference sessions begin, explore the best of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Activity options include Six Flags Arlington, area museums, Pre–World Cup Activities, the Fort Worth Stockyards, Bishop Arts District (Dallas), and Downtown Dallas.

Student Volunteer Discount

IISE is providing discounted registration for students who volunteer during the conference — another way to make your experience more affordable.
