#IISEAnnual2027 Volunteer SERVICE PROJECT
Put Your Skills to Work for the Host Community
Each year, the IISE Sustainable Development Division organizes a Volunteer Service Project during the Annual Conference & Expo. The project brings attendees together to support a nonprofit organization in the host city by applying industrial and systems engineering knowledge to a real-world need.
Volunteers may help the partner organization examine its operations, identify improvement opportunities and strengthen the processes that support its mission. It is a meaningful way to give back while collaborating with fellow attendees and seeing how ISE skills can create positive community impact.
Why Volunteer?
Participants have an opportunity to:
- Apply ISE tools and problem-solving skills in a nonprofit setting
- Help a community organization improve how it serves others
- Collaborate with IISE members outside the traditional conference program
- Learn more about the conference host community
- Begin the conference with service, teamwork and shared purpose
