Annual Countdown

Welcome to the largest industrial and systems engineering event of the year!

The IISE Annual Conference & Expo 2019 will take place May 18-21, 2019, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida.

The Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) is excited to invite you to Orlando for an educational feast fit for the profession’s finest. At the IISE Annual Conference & Expo, you’re joining leaders in the field, up-and-comers and students to network, gather new ideas and learn about innovative tools and techniques. Prepare to make connections that will aid your career and build friendships that last a lifetime.

Presentations will cover overall content of the profession instead of focusing specifically on research or applied solutions.

Volunteering Opportunity

Looking for a way to give back to the city before the conference starts?

What: Join IISE SDD and use your ISE skills to support the Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County. Habitat Orlando & Osceola is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.

Because of the nature of what HFH does (constructing homes), it is nearly impossible for us to know what tasks our group will be doing on the build day; we will be completing tasks associated with homebuilding: painting, hammering, caulking, etc.

As we typically do each year at these events, we will gather as a group (or groups) following the work to debrief as a team. During this debrief we typically put on our Industrial Engineer hats and develop a list of recommendations for improvement for the nonprofit.

Who: IISE conference attendees and guests

Why: Use your ISE skills for a good cause while networking with fellow conference attendees

Where: Silver Pines site located at 5534 Glen Lake Lane in Orlando, Florida.

Closed-toe shoes are required (boots and sneakers are acceptable, but no high heels, clogs, Crocs, or dress shoes).

We will provide you with a waiver form that must be fully completed by each member of your group. We will have blank copies of the waiver available on site.
