Become an AEC Session Moderator

AEC 2026 presenters need your support. Session moderators play a key role in helping speakers deliver their best work — and it's one of the easiest ways to get more involved in the conference.

What moderators do:

  • Introduce speakers and keep sessions on schedule
  • Assist with audience Q&A
  • Collect attendee feedback for continuous improvement

What's involved: Each session block runs 90-120 minutes and includes 2-4 presentations. Two moderators staff each block — one at the front of the room, one at the back.

New to moderating? Start with a Moderator 2 (back of room) role to learn the ropes. Returning moderators can sign up for either position.

Why volunteer? You'll get a front-row seat to sessions you want to attend, connect with presenters, and help shape the conference experience for your fellow attendees.
