Big data analytics helps business and government gain insight from social media

To increase productivity, manufacturing and product design processes traditionally have been standardized for mass production, with products being designed to satisfy the most common user preferences. However, with the explosive increase in Internet usage, it is now possible to capture the trending preferences of both individual users and the population as a whole in a cost-efficient manner.
