R. Alan Gleghorn is chief executive office at Christie Clinic, one of the largest physician-owned, multispecialty group medical practices in Illinois. He will be giving his keynote presentation at the Healthcare Systems Process Improvement Conference on Feb. 21 at 3:30 p.m.
The perfect storm of external impacts –
We have integrated the role of process improvement so that our culture is now an environment where "improving the work is the work." It’s the way we do business.
I will give an overview of how we have achieved [process improvement integration] both philosophically and mechanically. [I’ll be] highlighting the systems approach that we have, which is anchored in principles and co-created with the people that create value in our organization. Plus, I will share team-based and organizational results that have been manifested from this work.
The attendees should leave my presentation both challenged and invigorated to question the historical paradigm of how we not only need a new way to lead in healthcare, but also a new way to deploy cultural transformation via process improvement.
