Reduced membership for recent graduates

For recent college graduates, money is always tight. While it may not initially appear so, an IISE membership is a very worthwhile investment, and IISE wants to help new professionals continue their student membership without emptying their bank accounts.

  • First year graduates who are current student members can renew their membership for $77.

2017/2018 Strategy Committees

Chapter Involvement and Networking

The goal of this committee is to get more young professionals (YPs) involved with their local IISE chapters. This initiative includes benchmarking ways professional chapters have engaged with their local YPs in the past, sending targeted communication to YPs about their local chapters, and working with local chapters to host YP specific events.

Student to YP Conversion

This committee's aim is to help transition more student members to professional members. Activities include sending targeted communication to graduating seniors, promoting the YP group at regional student conferences, and creating more resources for YPs to request company sponsorship for dues and conferences.

Marketing and Technology

Communication and awareness are at the forefront of this committee's purpose. Action items for this group include maintaining and posting on the IISE YP Twitter page and IISE Connect, updating website content, and creating and sending out a YP specific newsletter.
