Overcoming lack of leadership and inertia is necessary for success

One of many difficulties business and service organizations face is finding efficiencies to cut costs and increase revenues, profits and market share. In their search, many organizations have undertaken business process re-engineering (BPR), organizational change initiatives and technology upgrades. Unfortunately, these efforts have not borne the results envisioned and, in some instances, have led to greater inefficiencies because of implementation problems.
