Leadership role on the South Central Regional Leadership Team opens up

You could be the next AVP of Student Development!

Leading change is an integral part of industrial and systems engineering. The addition of "systems" to our name affords an opportunity to build on the foundation already created by IISE members since 1948. If you are interested in taking on a leadership role within the IISE South Central region, you will soon have the chance. At the conclusion of the 2016 academic year, I will be stepping aside from my role as Assistant Vice President of Student Development (AVPSD) to take on a significant challenge - fatherhood. I have enjoyed engaging with student leaders, judging technical papers, and connecting aspiring ISEs with professional mentors over the last 6 years. The AVPSD role enables consistency during the frequent transition of university chapter leadership as students graduate. It is largely self-directed so you can make it your own. No specific IISE leadership experience is required. I hope you will consider stepping into this role!

If you are interested, please send an email to the South Central RVP, Brandon Laird (, outlining your qualifications and an idea of something you'd like to execute while in the AVPSD role. Please apply by May 1.
