IISE Volunteering Event

Sponsored by Sustainable Development Division

Each year at the IISE Annual Conference, the Sustainability Division selects a deserving local organization for its community project.

Looking for a way to give back to the city before the conference starts?

Back by popular demand, the Sustainable Development Division will host another volunteer project prior to the start of the 2018 IISE Annual Conference.

What: Join IISE SDD and use your ISE skills to support the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Orlando. ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used home accessories and building materials to the public at a fraction of the retail price, with proceeds benefitting the larger Habitat for Humanity mission. We will be working with this ReStore to optimize its pricing and donation process in order to improve inventory turns.

Who: IISE conference attendees and guests

Why: Use your ISE skills for a good cause while networking with fellow conference attendees

Where: Habitat ReStore (1649 Florida Mall Ave, Orlando, FL 32809)

When: Saturday, May 19, Depart from Loews Royal Pacific by bus at 8:30 a.m., 9 a.m. -1 p.m. volunteer shift, and optional lunch after.
